Tour Directions as of 2024
1. Meet and park at Clark Henry Park
290 West exit Jersey Village, right on Jersey Dr drive to Clark Henry Park.
2. Review trail end at Clark Henry Park
White Oak Bayou Greenway Trail (WOBGT) is on the south side of the WOB from downtown Houston to the Jersey Village Clark Henry Park.
3. Drive to the end of WOB at 290 and HCA Hospital
Drive down Jersey Dr to 290, right on the feeder, and enter 290, drive west exit Huffmeister Rd, and drive to the HCA Hospital, 3RD entrance on the right at the ditch, that ditch is the end of the WOB going under 290, park and walk to WOB.
4. Drive to the Jones Rd WOBGT parking lot
Drive, from the HCA parking north then right (east) to Huffmeister, right (south) on Huffmeister to 290, left (east) on 290 and exit Jones Rd, turn left (north) on Jones Rd, past West Rd, park in the WOBGT parking lot on the right side just before the WOB, tour the WOBGT in the park.
5. Drive to the Gessner Rd WOBGT parking lot
Drive, turn left (south) on Jones Rd, turn left (east) on West Rd, drive across the WOB and notice the WOBGT going below the road, drive east to the Sam Houston Tollway (SHT), continue and turn right (south) on Gessner Rd, drive to the WOBGT parking lot on the right side just before the WOB, park and walk north to the WOBGT as it goes on the side of the WOB By-Pass channel around Jersey Village.
6. Drive to the Fairbanks North Houston WOBGT parking lot
Drive, turn right (south) on Gessner Rd, turn left (east) on Emmott Rd, turn left (north) on Fairbanks North Houston (FNH), drive to the WOBGT parking lot on the right side, park and tour the trails in the detention ponds.
7. Drive to the Hollister WOBGT parking lot
Drive, turn left (south) on FNH, turn right (east) on Fairbanks White Oak, turn right (south) on Hollister Rd, turn left (east) to the WOBGT parking lot, park and tour the trails in the detention ponds.
8. Drive to the Williams Street parking
Drive, turn left (south) on Hollister Rd, turn left (east) on West Little York Rd, turn left (north) on Langfield Rd, turn right (east) on Shady Corners, turn left (north) on Williams St, park on the left side, tour the remains of the trail next to the WOB, for some reason the concrete trail was demolished several years ago and I am having a hard time getting it replaced.
9. Drive to Jersey Village Clark Henry Park
Drive, turn left (east) on Shady Corners, turn left (north) on Woodland Trails, turn right (south) on North Houston Rosslyn Rd, turn left (west) on West Little York Rd, turn right (north) on Gessner Rd, turn left (west) on Philippine St, turn left (south) on Lakeview Dr, turn left (east) on Jersey Dr, drive to Clark Henry Park parking area.
